Code Quantum is a sophisticated spy program using radio frequencies to access computers that are inaccessible through the internet. In some cases, the hardware used to detect the radio frequencies are physically inserted into foreign computers by Spies. Quantum has targeted the biggest foreign-government agencies of Russia and China. The Chinese military has similar technology and has been accused of hacking American computers as well. “NSA’s activities are focused and specifically deployed against — and only against — valid foreign intelligence targets in response to intelligence requirements” said NSA spokeswoman Vanee Vines to The New York Times who ran the original story on Tuesday. The NSA secretly bugged the computers with the help of spies, the units' manufacturers and in some instances unknowing users themselves. The Software that can communicate through radio waves with almost 100,000 computers around the world, allows it to spy on users and carry out cyber-attacks even if the computers are not connected to the Internet. It has not, however, been employed domestically in the United States, the Times said. The Government has insisted that the program is intended for defense and prevention of cyber attacks only.

According to a post on www.NYpost.com a school in Far Rockaway, Queens in New York is lost and forgotten. This report disgusted me to say the least. Children are the furture right? So why are the leaders of tommorrow receiving less than less than attention and eductional support? According to the report PS 106 is allocated $2.9 million to serve a low-income population with 98 percent of its students eligible for free lunches. As a Title 1 school, it gets extra federal funds, but community members say they’ve never seen a budget tracking the income and spending. The article was ridden with horrible personal accounts from parents and community member. These struck me the worse:
that's not even the half.... see the full story here:
http://nypost.com/2014/01/12/no-space-no-books-no-leader-no-clue-at-citys-worst-elementary/ Having friends that are educators, and once aspiring to be an educator myself, this story is nothing but a cry for help. Why should the students, parents and related parties suffer at the hands of an unorganized and unethical leadership. -TheeBlackSocialite What are your thoughts on the situation over at PS106? We'd like to hear from you. Tweet @TheBLKSocialite Source: NYPost Images: J.C. Rice/NYPost & Google Images |
